Daol Guesthouse

Location was very convenient, only a couple of short blocks outside of the Hongik University Station (AREX and Metro), and communication with the hosts was very smooth. We unfortunately did not get a chance to meet them but they were very helpful in clarifying policies + what they needed from us (as we were checking out very early the next day to catch an early flight). Messaging via booking.com was very prompt and helpful, especially in explaining the contactless checkin process, and alternate contacts (e.g. LINE and WhatsApp) were also provided in case those were more convenient. Although we didn't get a lot of time to explore Seoul / see the room, the temperature control was very good especially on a night where windchill had temperatures "feeling like" -12C and we have no complaints regarding the facilities. People who are *very* sensitive to noise and prioritize that when booking may want to be aware that your experience may depend on who is staying in other rooms - house policies obviously note that there are quiet hours, and all guests were respectful of that during our stay! (We did not hear any street noise, either.) However, it does feel like a space that was originally a home/apartment and you might hear a stray noise from other guests from time to time.

My 3rd time staying here. Very close to Hongik Sta. Exit 3. Easy check-in and check-out. The room and guesthouse are equipped. Communication with staff is convenient via chat app.

This place was absolutely perfect for exploring Hongdae and the rest of Seoul. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the subway station, which is on a main line straight into the centre of Seoul. So a perfect position! Despite being in a busy bar area it was not noisy at all during the night. It was also very clean and had great facilities - we didn’t use the shared kitchen but it had everything you could possibly need if you wanted to cook rather than eat out. The owner was also very friendly and allowed us to keep our bags in the communal area until our late night flight. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay in Seoul.

I'm so lucky that I chosen the right guesthouse. The daol guesthouse was totally perfect there is nothing to complain. Guesthouse so nearly to hongik station exit3, good location, easy check in, rest room so clean and safety. I recommend this place if you looking for good rest after a long trip.

Very convenient. It is a few minutes walk to Hongik University station. Restaurants, convenient stores and shops are nearby.
